Some Movies have NO GLASS!

Car chase scenes in MOVIES drive me NUTS!!
Have you ever noticed that every single time (well almost) there is a car chase in a movie, either the getaway car or the car doing the chasing, one of them always crashes through a plate glass WINDOW??  The workers holding this HUGE window are usually 2 guys wearing Orange overalls and they are usually crossing a busy street. 
Of course our 2 vehicles always seem to find these 2 guys and CRASH into the glass.
First of all, I've never ever seen 2 guys carrying a plate glass window anywhere!!  I work on the road everyday and I've yet to see this happen anywhere in my city.
Second of all, how in the hell do these cars find these guys at precisely the exact same time that they are crossing the street!
And finally, why in the hell would you be crossing the street carrying GLASS.  Shouldnt you be parking on that side of the street to make your delievery???
Just another movie thing that drives me up the GLASS wall :)
